Khudabaksh Chaudhary, special assistant in the Home Ministry headed by Mohammad Yunus, chief advisor to the interim government, has resigned from his post and President Mohammad Shahabuddin has also accepted his resignation.
Khudabaksh Choudhary, a former Director General of Police (IGP) in Bangladesh, was appointed special assistant to Mohammad Yunus on 10 November 2024. His resignation has come at a time when the situation in the country is deteriorating rapidly after the death of rebellion leader Osman Hadi.
Meanwhile, Tariq Rahman, son of former Bangladesh PM, has returned to Bangladesh. Before the return of Tariq Rahman, one person was killed in a bomb attack near a church in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday (24 December). This incident has raised serious concerns regarding security in the capital. Let us tell you that after the death of student leader Usman Hadi, violence has intensified in Bangladesh. The mob also set on fire the offices of two major newspapers of the country, Daily Star and Pratham Aalo.

Tariq Rahman, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, returned to his country today (25 December) after 17 years. 1 lakh workers of his Bangladeshi Nationalist Party (BNP) gathered near the airport to welcome him.
