Kia India has started the production of the new generation model of its most popular mid-size SUV Seltos. Its first unit has come out of Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh. Kia India MD and CEO Guanggu Lee was also present on this occasion. This new Seltos is of the second generation and has been made newer, bigger and more premium than the old model. The company will announce its prices on January 2, 2026. Bookings have already started for Rs 25,000 and deliveries are expected from mid-January.
How is the new design?
- The design of New Kia Seltos is based on the new design thinking of the company, which makes it more bold. A new digital tiger face grill has been given on the front. With this, ice cube LED headlamps, star map DRL and welcome lighting are available. Flush door handles and new alloy wheels are provided on the sides. At the rear, the connected LED taillight and new bumper make it more attractive. This new Seltos is longer and wider than before, which has increased both the seating space and boot space inside.
What’s new in the interior and features?
- The biggest change is seen inside this SUV. A large 30-inch display is provided on the dashboard, which includes two large screens and a climate control screen. It has panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charger, Bose sound system and 64 color lighting. Kia Connect 2.0 system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also provided.
Safety, Engine and Price
- New Kia Seltos is also strong in terms of safety. It has 6 airbags as standard and level-2 ADAS features. Three options of petrol and diesel will be available in the engine. Its price can be between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. This SUV will give direct competition to Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.
