Dipu Chandra Das, a 27-year-old Hindu man, was burnt to death in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Reactions are coming from within the country and abroad regarding this. Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor has also reacted on this matter. Jhanvi has been seen angry at such cruelty and has called it ‘genocide’. The actress has also made a special appeal to the people.

Jhanvi Kapoor wrote in a note shared on Instagram Story- ‘What is happening in Bangladesh is barbarity. This is genocide and it is not an isolated incident. If you don’t know about this inhumane public lynching, read about it, watch videos, ask questions.

Jhanvi Kapoor further wrote in the post- ‘And if despite all this you do not get angry, then this hypocrisy will destroy us in no time. We will continue to cry over what is happening on the other side of the world, while our own brothers and sisters are being burnt to death. It is important to condemn and oppose extremism in any form before we forget our humanity.

What is the whole matter?
According to PTI, Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a mob on December 18 in Bhaluka of Mymensingh in Bangladesh. This person, who worked in a Hindu textile factory, was allegedly accused of blasphemy. Many videos surfaced on social media in which it was seen that Deepu’s body was tied to a tree by a mob and burnt. The police have so far arrested at least 12 people in this case.

Jhanvi Kapoor’s work front
Talking about Jhanvi Kapoor’s work front, this year the actress was seen in Sunny Sanskari’s films like Tulsi Kumari, Param Sundari and Homebound. Now the actress will be seen in Ram Charan starrer film Peddi. This film will hit the theaters on March 27, 2026.
