Pakistan Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal’s first reaction to the incident has come during his live interview. He has appealed that this issue should not be politicized. On Thursday (December 25, 2025), he was connected with ARY News anchor Waseem Badami on live TV, when suddenly he heard someone shouting, asking him to stop the interview and then his call got disconnected.
The video of the incident is also going viral on social media. As soon as this video came out, politics started happening on it. Now Ahsan Iqbal himself has come forward and reacted on this. On Thursday, in ARY’s show ’11th Hour’, Wasim Badami was talking to the Pakistani Planning Minister on issues related to the government and the opposition. Then the voice of a person started coming from the minister’s video, who was saying – stop it, stop it and then the screen goes off and Ahsan Iqbal’s call with the anchor gets disconnected. The person is not visible in the video, only his voice is heard.
Ahsan Iqbal connected again after some time and said that everything is fine. However, a discussion started regarding this on social media. People started speculating and started linking this incident with politics. Amidst these discussions, Ahsan Iqbal has given information about the incident on social media platform X.
Ahsan Iqbal said, ‘There was a brief interruption during the interview because a person present with me was arguing and that person did not know that I was on live TV. I connected live again shortly after that. He has also asked people not to connect this issue with politics.
Ahsan Iqbal has given this reply on the post of Pakistani journalist Ajmal Jami. Ajmal Jami said in his post that Ahsan Iqbal has said that there was a gathering at his house in Islamabad, then some children suddenly came to his room. However, after some time he joined the interview again.
Information Minister Ataullah Tarar also told that he talked to Ahsan Iqbal and he told that during the interview, children had suddenly come to his study room. All is well and he joined the interview again after some time.
