In this interview, Naveen Kaushik gives his views on the ongoing propaganda debate regarding the film “Dhurandhar”. He says that despite these allegations the success of the film continues.
According to Naveen, to fully understand a film like “Dhurandhar” it is necessary to watch it more than once, because its script, research and acting are woven in many layers. He insists that the events depicted in the film are factual, especially in the context of attacks on Indian cities and civilians. If showing such truth is being called propaganda, then it is a matter to think about.
He also mentions the video made by Dhruv Rathee on “dhurandhar”, which got a huge number of views even though comments were closed. Regarding this, Naveen jokingly says that this has given free publicity to the film.
Naveen Kaushik also clarifies that the film neither shows Muslims as bad nor is it against the common people of Pakistan. He says that the film raises questions on the system, leaders and spy networks that fund attacks in other countries. In the end he appeals to the audience to watch the film carefully, and if possible several times, before arriving at any conclusions.
