A very dangerous case of industrial negligence has come to light in Kota district of Rajasthan. The polished slurry coming out of Kota stone factories is being dumped in the open in Amarpura Industries area of Ramganjmandi area. A deadly swamp created from this slurry became a problem for three innocent children on Saturday (27 December). While playing, the children got stuck in this swamp and kept battling between life and death for about two hours.
According to the information, all three children were playing around Amarpura Industries area. During this time, they reached a place which looked like solid ground from above. But actually there was deep slurry deposited below there. As soon as the children stepped there, they started sinking rapidly. Within a few moments, more than half of his body got submerged in the swamp.
Trying to get out and getting stuck
The children started struggling with their hands and legs to save themselves, but with every attempt they kept sinking deeper. Amidst fear and panic the children kept screaming for help. Due to the noise of nearby factories and machines, no one paid attention to his voice for a long time.
Later, hearing the screams of the children, laborers and villagers working nearby reached the spot. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, arrangements for ropes and wood were immediately made. After about two hours of hard work, people took out the three children one by one safely.
Administration did not help
The surprising thing was that no help came from the administration or any emergency service for such a long time. After taking the children out, they were badly frightened and their entire bodies were covered with slurry and mud. A major accident was averted due to the wisdom and courage of the villagers. People say that if there was even a little delay, the children could have lost their lives.
