The Institute for Management Development (IMD) released the list of smart cities of the world in 2024. In this, the smart city was defined as an urban setting. With the help of technology in these cities, the lives of citizens became very easy.

Switzerland was at the top of 142 smart cities around the world. This was followed by Oslo city of Norway. At number three was Australia’s Canberra, followed by Geneva and Singapore at number five.

Four cities of India were placed in the list of smart cities. However, none of these cities were included in the top-10 list.

Delhi was at the top of the four largest metropolis countries in India. In the list of 142 countries, the country’s capital Delhi got 106th rankings.

After Delhi, the second city of India was Mumbai, which was included in this list. India’s financial capital Mumbai was placed on the 107th position in this list. After this, Bengaluru was ranked 109th and Hyderabad was ranked 111.
