On Monday (29 December) night in Bhandup, Mumbai, BEST bus hit many people while reversing. 4 people have died in this accident. The dead include three women and one man. 10 people are injured in this accident. The injured were taken to the hospital. Police and administration officials are present on the spot. At the same time, the driver was taken into custody.
According to the information, while reversing a BEST bus near Station Road in Bhandup (West), 14 passengers were hit, in which 4 lost their lives. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) control room today (29 December) at around 10.05 pm.

According to initial information, the bus allegedly hit the people standing behind while it was being reversed. The exact reasons for the incident are being ascertained. Emergency response teams including Mumbai Fire Brigade, policemen, BEST staff and 108 ambulance services were immediately sent to the spot.
4 people died in the accident- DCP
While giving information, Zone-7 DCP Hemraj Rajput said that till now a total of 4 people have been confirmed dead in the accident, while 10 people are injured. The injured were admitted to different hospitals for treatment. It is being told that an unknown woman (aged about 31 years) was brought dead to Rajawadi Hospital. Prashant Lad (51 years old, male) has also been admitted to the same hospital, whose condition is said to be critical.
Investigation into the cause of the accident continues
Whereas, M.T. Three people were brought dead to Aggarwal Hospital. 9 people injured in the accident are being treated here. As soon as information about the incident was received, relief and rescue work was immediately started by the administration.
