Recently there was a news that all the teachers and principals teaching in Delhi schools will now count the stray dogs. Rekha Gupta government of Delhi has completely denied any such news. While issuing the press release, Delhi Government Minister Ashish Sood has clearly said that no such order has been issued by the government. The BJP government has called it a conspiracy hatched by the opposition party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Delhi government has issued a clarification regarding the counting of stray dogs. Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said that AAP has spread false news. Aam Aadmi Party has spread a false and malicious news on social media regarding counting of dogs by teachers. In this regard, it is clarified that no such instruction has been issued by the Education Department.
Education Directorate denied the news
A day before this, the news was going on that teachers of government and private schools would count the stray dogs on the road. Reportedly, the Directorate of Education of Delhi Government has given orders to all the District Education Officers to appoint nodal officers from educational institutions for the enumeration campaign. However, now the Delhi government has clearly denied the news and has given any order regarding this news.
The Delhi government has issued a clarification regarding this and said that there is no mention in it regarding counting of stray dogs.
Teachers organizations had expressed their displeasure
Teachers organizations had expressed their displeasure over the issuance of the order. After this, teachers organizations opened a front against the government. Teachers believe that education is a sacred profession and they are constantly being engaged in non-teaching duties.
The question of the teachers union is that why the work of counting stray dogs was not given to the Animal Husbandry Department? What will happen to the educational quality in schools in the absence of teachers? Will this not hurt the respect of teachers in the society?
