India has defeated Sri Lanka by 15 runs in the fifth T20 match. With this, Team India has won the five-match T20 series 5-0. The fifth T20 match was played in Thiruvananthapuram, in which the Indian team, batting first, scored 175 runs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played a half-century inning of 68 runs for India. India has said goodbye to the year 2025 with victory.
When the Sri Lankan team came to chase the target of 176 runs, it had a very bad start. Captain Chamari Atapattu was out after scoring only 2 runs. After that, Hasini Perera and Imisha Dulani must have increased the heartbeats of the Indian bowlers, because Perera and Dulani made a partnership of 79 runs for the second wicket. Perera played an inning of 65 runs and Dulani played an inning of 50 runs.
At one time Sri Lanka had scored 100 runs at the loss of 2 wickets, but after that the process of continuous fall of wickets started. Sri Lanka’s score went from 100/2 to 140 runs for 6 wickets. Sri Lanka had lost 4 wickets in just 25 balls.
India did a clean sweep
India has wiped out Sri Lanka by winning the five-match T20 series 5-0. In this series played from 21st December to 30th December, the Indian team was successful in winning all the five matches.
The Indian team has now become one of the teams that have registered the most wins against a single team in the history of women’s T20 cricket. This was India’s 25th T20 win over Sri Lanka. Australia holds the record for winning the most T20 matches against a single team, having defeated New Zealand 33 times. Australia has also defeated India 26 times.
