As the time of examinations approaches, the stress for school and college children also starts increasing. Students preparing for board exams as well as other exams often feel under pressure. The fear of exams, worry about results and not finishing the entire syllabus on time makes many students mentally tired. Especially for a weak student, the stress increases further due to the burden of expectations from the family. But with some easy methods and proper routine, you can control this stress and perform well in the examination.
Making a time table is the first step before starting exam preparation. Many times students do not understand where to start their studies. In this situation, time passes and tension increases. Therefore, divide your studies into sections and make a time table. Decide different topics for morning and afternoon. By following the time, you will be able to cover the entire syllabus without any nervousness and will also remain confident.
The school completes the syllabus well in time for board and competitive examinations. It is very important to use this time properly. By doing regular revision, you can get hold of weak topics and will not feel nervous on the exam day. Set aside at least two hours every day for revision and re-read previous topics.
Don’t forget to take breaks between studies
Continuous studying makes the brain tired and concentration reduces. Therefore include breaks in your time table. Taking short breaks will keep your mind and body fresh. After every two-three hours of studying, take a break of 10-15 minutes, drink water or take a light walk.
During exams, students often stay up all night studying. This habit is harmful for health and also affects the mental state. It is very important to take 7-8 hours of sleep. After complete sleep, your mind will remain focused and fresh, which will also increase the effectiveness of studies.
Do physical activity and exercise
Due to being busy in studies, students often ignore physical activity. But to reduce mental stress and keep the body healthy, it is important that you take out some time every day for physical activity. Do walking, yoga, exercise or sports. This will keep the body healthy and the mind also fresh.
