Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s rhetoric on not going to Ayodhya has heated up the politics of Maharashtra. When the uproar started over the statement given by Congress leader Nana Patole in which he had said that ‘Rahul Gandhi is following the ideals of Lord Ram’, Nana Patole has once again reacted on it.
Nana Patole said that Rahul Gandhi’s politics is for the exploited, oppressed and deprived class. He also said through the statement that he never compared Rahul Gandhi with Shri Ram. After this statement, Swami Rambhadracharya has called it sheer sycophancy. He had said, “That person has not been able to understand Lord Ram. Shri Ram and Rahul Gandhi cannot be compared in any way. Only God knows what kind of work Rahul Gandhi is doing.”
What is Nana Patole’s statement?
On this statement of Swami Rambhadracharya, Nana Patole said in a statement to ANI, ‘Rambhadracharya ji is a big and respected person, so he will not make personal comments on him, but Rahul Gandhi’s fight is for the rights of farmers, poor and the deprived.’ He also said that some people are not able to see the work of Rahul Gandhi, because according to him they are blind and cannot understand the truth. Patole clarified that whatever Rahul Gandhi is doing is in the interest of the country and it cannot be ignored.

Mention of Rahul Gandhi’s travels
Congress leader Nana Patole, citing the example of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and other marches, said that the journeys from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Manipur to Mumbai were not just political, but to raise the voice of the exploited and oppressed people. He said that throughout his tenure, Rahul Gandhi has worked for those sections which are often ignored.
Giving the example of Ramayana, Patole said that just as Lord Ram had to face difficulties and tortures, similarly today Rahul Gandhi also has to struggle. He also added that he has not directly compared Rahul Gandhi with Lord Shri Ram, but has said that Rahul Gandhi is working following the path shown by Lord Ram.
