The riots in Bangladesh were discussed a lot in other countries including India. Protests took place at many places in India regarding the murder of a Hindu youth in Dhaka. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar recently visited Bangladesh. His visit was also discussed. Foreign Minister Jaishankar now reacted on the Bangladesh issue. He also commented on good and bad neighbours. He said that good neighbors always have to have a feeling of kindness.
IIT In Madras, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said, ,When we use the term ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ so casually, what is actually the message of that term? What that word means is that we never considered the world an enemy or a dangerous environment from which we had to save ourselves. If you’re in problem-solving mode with limited resources, how do you make the most impact? This is actually the problem that needs to be solved.
He said, ‘Today in Indian foreign policy, in Indian diplomacy, that is what we try to do, and we do it by using our competitiveness, by using our strengths, by taking advantage of other institutions and possibilities.,
What did Foreign Minister Jaishankar say on the issue of Bangladesh?
Jaishankar said, ‘I went on a tour to Bangladesh for two days. If your neighbor is good then you have to be kind to him. We have helped most of our neighbors. Sometimes we supported them by sending vaccines and sometimes by helping them in other difficulties. Sent help to Ukraine and Sri Lanka. We have the right to defend ourselves against bad neighbors. There is a right to take action against terrorism also. No country can withstand a long war.
