A big and good news has come out for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission i.e. BPSSC has started the application process for recruitment to the posts of Havildar Clerk in Bihar Police. This process has been started by the Commission today from 2nd January. In such a situation, this is a golden opportunity for the candidates who were dreaming of working in the police department for a long time.
Under this recruitment drive, Havildar Clerk will be appointed on a total of 64 posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of BPSSC bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The last date for application has been fixed as 2 February 2026. The Commission has advised the candidates not to wait for the last date and complete the application process in time.
Who can apply
For this recruitment, some important conditions related to the age and education of the candidate have been fixed. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1st August 2025. The minimum age of the candidate applying should be 18 years. Whereas the maximum age has been fixed at 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in maximum age as per government rules.
What should be the educational qualification?
To apply for the post of Havildar Clerk, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th from a recognized board or institute. That means intermediate pass candidates can apply for this recruitment. Apart from this, no particular subject has been made mandatory, due to which a large number of youth can participate in this recruitment.
How will the candidates be selected?
In this recruitment of BPSSC, the selection of candidates will be done in two phases. In the first phase, there will be a written examination and in the second phase, Physical Efficiency Test i.e. PET will be conducted. Only the candidates who pass the written examination will be called for physical examination.
The written examination will be of total 100 marks. 100 multiple choice questions will be asked in this. Questions will be of class 10th level. The exam will include subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. The Commission has made it clear that it will be necessary to score at least 30 percent marks in the written examination. Candidates who score less than this will not be considered eligible for the physical examination.
Complete details of physical efficiency test
Physical efficiency test will also be of 100 marks. This includes running, shot put and high jump. Male candidates will have to complete a run of 1.6 kilometers within 6 minutes. Whereas female candidates will have to run 1 kilometer in 5 minutes.
Apart from this, 25 points have been fixed for shot put and 25 points for high jump. Candidates who perform well in the physical examination can be assured of a place in the selection list. Therefore, candidates should also pay attention to their fitness from now on.
How much application fee will have to be paid
All the candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay the application fee. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 100. Fees will be paid through online mode. The application process will not be considered complete without depositing the fee.
