There is anger among the people of India against Bangladesh in protest against the incident of atrocities on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. People in different cities of India are expressing their anger by protesting against Bangladesh. Amidst the ongoing protests in India against Bangladesh, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has directed IPL team KKR to release Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman from its team. Now BJP leader Navneet Rana’s reaction to BCCI’s decision has come to light.
On BCCI’s direction to release Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman from KKR, BJP leader Navneet Rana said, “…No Bangladeshi cricketer should play in India or take part in any of our cricket matches or leagues. Bangladesh is targeting Hindus and other minorities in its country, hence no cricketer or film celebrity should be welcomed in India…”
BCCI gave instructions to release Bangladeshi player
It is noteworthy that the opposition to the inclusion of Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman in the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team was continuously increasing. In view of all these protests, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had directed to drop Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team.
What did the BCCI secretary say?
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “In view of the recent developments, BCCI has directed the franchise KKR to release one of their Bangladeshi players Mustafizur Rahman from their team and BCCI has also said that if they demand any replacement, BCCI will allow that replacement.” Let us tell you that people from political parties and religious leaders had protested against the inclusion of Bangladeshi players in the IPL.
