Gold Price Today: There is a rise in gold prices in the domestic futures market on Monday, January 5. Gold futures with expiry of February 5, 2026 opened on Monday at Rs 1,36,300 (per 10 grams) on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). On its last trading day, gold on MCX had closed trading at Rs 1,35,761.
At 10:10 am on January 5, gold with expiry of February 5 was trading at Rs 1,37,198 on MCX. Which shows an increase of about Rs 1500 from the previous day’s closing price. MCX Gold had reached a high level of Rs 1,38,200 in early trade.

Along with gold, the prices of precious metals like silver are also seeing a tremendous rise on the trading day on Monday. On MCX, silver futures with expiry of March 5, 2026 were trading at Rs 2,42,685 (per kg). Which shows an increase of about Rs 6400 from the previous day’s closing price.
