,hero, About this
‘Nayak’ is the Hindi remake of director Shankar’s Tamil blockbuster film Mudhalvan (1999). Apart from Anil, the film stars Amrish Puri as the main villain, along with Rani Mukherjee, Johnny Lever and Shivaji Satam in important roles. The Hindi remake, released in 2001, flopped at the box office, but with its repeated showings on satellite television years later, Nayak became a cult classic.
