It’s just 3-6 months…, the doctors had replied; This Indian veteran told a painful story

Years ago, Yuvraj Singh had fought a battle which could have ended not only his cricket career but also his lifeline. He has been a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup winning Team India. But his winning battle with cancer still remains a source of inspiration for people. Now Yuvraj remembered those days and told how the doctors had given him the answer.

In a conversation with England’s legendary cricketer Kevin Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh talked about his fight with cancer. He also told how the doctors had replied that he had 3-6 months left to live.

During a conversation on Kevin Pietersen’s YouTube channel, Yuvraj Singh said, “I wanted to go on the Australian tour at that time, because I had started getting a place in the Test team, so I did not want to retire and I was waiting for 7 years. I was sitting on the bench for about 40 Test matches.”

Yuvraj further said, “I wanted to go on Australia tour, but then the physio came and said that you are not going to Australia. After talking to the doctor, it came to light that I had only 3-6 months left to live. Now you had to decide whether you want to play cricket or get treatment.”

Yuvraj Singh has scored 11,778 runs in his international cricket career. He said goodbye to all forms of cricket in the year 2019. Yuvraj last played for the Indian team in the year 2017. After 2 years he announced his retirement.
