The wait of lakhs of candidates is over, Bihar STET result released, so many candidates successful; Know the cutoff

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the result of Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. Bihar STET 2025. The wait of lakhs of candidates who appeared in this examination is now over. Candidates who appeared in this examination can now check their result by visiting the official website bsebstet.org.

Bihar STET 2025 exam was conducted between October and November 2025. This examination was conducted completely in computer based mode. The examination was conducted in two phases, in which Paper-1 was conducted for teachers of classes 9 and 10 and Paper-2 for teachers of classes 11 and 12. The examination was conducted peacefully at different centers in the state.

This year a large number of candidates participated in the STET exam. A total of 4 lakh 42 thousand 214 candidates appeared in the examination. Out of these, 2 lakh 56 thousand 301 candidates have been declared successful. In this way, the total pass percentage has been 57.96 percent, which the examination committee has declared satisfactory.

So many candidates in Paper-1

If we talk about Paper-1, a total of 2 lakh 46 thousand 415 candidates appeared in this examination conducted for classes 9 and 10. Of these, 1 lakh 7 thousand 229 were female and 1 lakh 39 thousand 186 were male candidates. A total of 16 subjects were examined in Paper-1. 1 lakh 54 thousand 145 candidates have been successful in this paper. The total pass percentage of Paper-1 was 62.56, which is higher than Paper-2.

How many candidates were there in Paper-2?

A total of 1 lakh 95 thousand 799 candidates had appeared in the examination conducted for Paper-2 i.e. class 11 and 12. Of these, 71 thousand 178 were female and 1 lakh 24 thousand 621 were male candidates. A total of 29 subjects were examined in this paper. 1 lakh 2 thousand 156 candidates have been successful in Paper-2. The pass percentage of this paper was 52.17.

Talking about the total successful candidates, out of 2 lakh 56 thousand 301 candidates, 1 lakh 4 thousand 167 are women and 1 lakh 52 thousand 134 are men. According to the examination committee, this time the performance of women candidates has also been much better.

Minimum marks have been fixed for different sections to pass in Bihar STET 2025. General category candidates are required to score at least 50 percent marks to pass. 45.5 percent marks have been set for backward classes. The pass marks for extremely backward class candidates have been kept at 42.5 percent. Whereas for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category, 40 percent marks are required. For disabled and female candidates also, 40 percent marks have been considered pass.

The process of viewing the results has also been kept quite easy. First of all candidates have to go to the official website bsebstet.org. A link of “Bihar STET 2025 Result/Scorecard” will appear on the homepage, which will have to be clicked. After this the candidates will have to enter their application number and date of birth or password. As soon as you login, the result and scorecard will appear on the screen.
