Neena Gupta is often seen speaking openly about her personal life and social issues. Recently the actress has talked about the condition of women in the society. According to him, men do not like independent and strong women. During this, Neena has revealed that she was engaged to a person, which was later broken.
While talking to Humans of Bombay, Neena Gupta said- ‘A strong woman is not marriage material. Most men do not like strong women. He likes helpless women. They hate strong women, or women who have their own opinions, work, are dedicated to their careers. They want to establish their rights over women.
Neena Gupta’s engagement was broken
Neena Gupta further said- ‘I am saying in general, not about everyone. But this is true for 95% of our population. I am not saying this to make any controversial statement, rather I have seen this myself in my home and society. I was engaged to a guy who cheated on me at the last moment. I had hopes of a child in my mind and the ring ceremony had also been done. I had gone to Delhi to buy my clothes and jewellery, and suddenly I got a call from him and he said that our marriage is not happening yet. When I asked what happened, he said he had to undergo sinus surgery.
Neena said- ‘Till date I don’t know why the marriage broke. I kept asking his parents what happened, but they never told me. Then he came back after about six months and said he wanted to marry me. I said get lost. Now I don’t want to marry you.
