Magh Masik Shivratri 2026: Shiva’s night i.e. monthly Shivratri is considered to be a very auspicious and fruitful date. On this day, Shiva devotees worship Bholenath with true heart and keep fast. How to observe monthly Shivratri fast
One day before Shivratri, i.e. on Trayodashi Tithi, devotees should consume food only once. On the day of Shivratri, after performing daily rituals in the morning, devotees should take a pledge to fast for the whole day. On the day of Shivratri, devotees should worship or go to the temple only after taking bath in the evening. Lord Shiva should be worshiped at night and the fast should be broken the next day after taking bath. Devotees should wear white colored clothes during the worship of Lord Shiva. Also, if you are married then worship with your wife or husband.
