A sensational case of gangrape and kidnapping of a minor in a car has come to light in Kanpur, in which the direct role of Bhimsen outpost in-charge Inspector Amit Maurya has come to light. The incident took place in Sachendi police station area and the accused inspector is absconding after the incident. On the instructions of the Police Commissioner, if arrest is not made for more than two days, a reward of Rs 50,000 has been announced on the accused.

According to the victim, she had come out of the house at around 10 pm on Sunday night, when a black Scorpio car stopped near her. Two youths in the car forcibly grabbed him and pulled him into the car. After this, she was taken to a secluded place near the railway track in Sachendi area, where she was brutally tortured for about two hours inside a glass-closed car.
Shocking facts revealed in investigation
The victim kept screaming and pleading for help, but due to the deserted area and closed windows, her voice could not reach out. Every moment she struggled to save her life. Investigation has revealed that the Scorpio car in which the incident took place belonged to Bhimsen outpost in-charge Inspector Amit Maurya. It is alleged that this heinous incident was carried out by Inspector Amit Maurya in collaboration with an alleged journalist named Shivbaran. After the incident, when the condition of the victim became very bad, the accused left her near her house late in the night and fled away.
Police action and administrative strictness
Somehow, gathering courage, the victim reached home and told the entire incident to her family. A mountain of sorrows fell upon the family. The victim’s brother immediately dialed 112 and informed the police. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Police Commissioner formed four special teams to arrest the accused Inspector, but even after more than two days, he is still out of the reach of the police. In view of this negligence, a reward of Rs 50 thousand was announced on the accused. Also, Bhimsen outpost incharge has been suspended for laxity in action, while the concerned ACP has been put on the line. Joint Commissioner of Police VK Singh is monitoring this entire matter.
