Ajmal said that if the ICC fails to deal with the current ‘domination’ of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in its functioning, then there is no point in its existence. He said, ,If the ICC cannot take a fair and principled decision in the overall interest of world cricket, then it should cease its operations. If ICC cannot enforce its decisions on the Indian board then its existence makes no sense.,

Ajmal claimed that most of the Test playing countries agree with this sentiment, but they will not be able to clarify their stand publicly. He said that India’s refusal to play in Pakistan even in global competitions is a prime example of the ICC’s ‘helplessness’. Ajmal said, ,There is no logical reason for India not playing in Pakistan, but ICC is helpless because it is now dominated by Indians.,
India does not travel to Pakistan due to security reasons. Not only this, the Indian government does not approve bilateral series between the two countries. These two countries now play against each other in any multinational tournament only on neutral venues. The current president of ICC is former BCCI secretary Jai Shah.
