Actually, Thiruvalluvar Day is celebrated in Tamil Nadu on 16 January. This day is celebrated in the memory of the great Tamil saint and poet Thiruvalluvar. On this occasion, RBI has declared a bank holiday in the state. Except Tamil Nadu, banks will remain open normally in all other states of the country on January 16.
Online facilities will remain operational
