The association working for the interests of Bangladeshi cricketers has demanded the resignation of Bangladesh Cricket Board Director Nazrul Islam. He says that the players will not play until there is resignation. Due to players’ protest, the first match of Bangladesh Premier League did not start. After this, BCB has issued a show cause notice against the director and the interim sports minister. Let us tell you that a few days ago he had called Tamim Iqbal an Indian agent.

Demand for resignation of BCB director

In the press conference on Thursday, Bangladesh Cricket Welfare Association said, “Mustafizur Rahman did not want to take this matter further. He did not want us to take this matter before the board. It is the duty of the player to present his complaints before the Players Welfare Association, but he did not want to take this matter further.”

Bangladesh Cricketers Welfare Association made it clear that this protest will not end until the resignation of the BCB director is taken. The association said, “Until Bangladesh Cricket Board director Nazrul Islam resigns, Bangladesh cricketers will not play matches.”

Tamim Iqbal was called ‘Indian Agent’

On the instructions of BCCI, Kolkata Knight Riders had released Mustafizur Rahman, in protest against which Bangladesh Cricket Board decided that it will not send its team to India for the T20 World Cup. He wrote to the ICC demanding that their matches be shifted to Sri Lanka. Apart from this, Bangladesh also banned IPL telecast. Then Tamim Iqbal had advised his board not to say anything in haste that could create problems in the future.

Like what if ICC refuses that the schedule cannot be changed? Bangladesh team will have to go to India or else be out of the tournament. Tamim had given a good advice to his board officials, after which BCB director Nazrul Islam made fun of him by calling him an ‘Indian agent’.
