BCB issued a press release saying, “The Bangladesh Cricket Board wishes to inform that, after reviewing the recent developments and in the best interest of the organization, the BCB President has decided to relieve Nazmul Islam of his responsibilities as Chairman of the Finance Committee with immediate effect. This decision has been taken in accordance with the power given to the BCB President under Article 31 of the BCB Constitution and is aimed at ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the affairs of the Board. BCB further said that now the BCB President will hold the post of acting Finance Committee till further orders. “Until further orders, the BCB President will hold the post of acting Chairman of the Finance Committee.
