Once again a painful road accident occurred due to dense fog on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Nuh district on Thursday morning. A travel bus going from Jaipur to Delhi collided with a container moving ahead near village Shekhpur.

The accident was so horrific that two people traveling in the bus died on the spot, including a Delhi Police personnel. While 5-6 passengers were seriously injured. As soon as the information was received, police, ambulance and highway patrolling team reached the spot.

Injured admitted to hospital

The injured were immediately admitted to Mandikheda Hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. The police removed the accident vehicles from the road and restored traffic and took the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.

The deceased have been identified as Bhawani Singh Rajput, son of Babu Singh, resident of village Kheda Mangal Singh, district Alwar (Rajasthan) and Mohar Singh Meena, resident of village Dhigariya Bhim, tehsil Baijupala, district Dausa (Rajasthan).

Policeman was going on duty

Bhavani Singh was the bus conductor, while Mohar Singh Meena was a Delhi Police personnel, who was going to Delhi for duty. It has been told that the bus runs on the Dhaula Kuan route from Balaji to Delhi. The accident happened near Gujar Nangla village at around 7.30 in the morning, when visibility was very low due to dense fog.

Accidents happening due to fog

There are frequent road accidents due to fog during winter on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. People have demanded that speed control, warning signs and security arrangements should be made more stringent during fog, so that the lives of security personnel and passengers on duty can be saved. Investigating officer Devendra Singh said that the process of post-mortem of the dead bodies is going on and further action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
