Lalo’s story was born out of frustration. Ankit Sakhiya and his team (Karan, Vicky Bhai and co-writer) were watching 2-3 films every day at Mama Festival in Mumbai and were thinking that just watching will not suffice, they will have to make something themselves. He decided that the story should be unique, and got inspiration from a film about loneliness like Taxi Driver. Then he thought that something new had to be done in low-budget. The brother and the actors were ready, the camera was ready, the only focus was on making the film, not thinking about what would happen. He deliberately did not tell anyone that a film was being made, and did not even post BTS photos. Everyone’s objective was clear, just to make the film, even if it flops. It was the first film of every member of the team, even the music director. But with dedication and focus he formed a team and completed the movie. Also, Ankit says that when he met a sadhu in Delhi, the sadhu said that he did not make this film, it was made by the gods, meaning success is out of his hands, it is just Krishna Kripa.
