The spiritual connection with former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has deepened in the last few years. Staying away from the pressure and noise of the field, Virat is now often seen in temples and religious places. A similar scene was seen on Saturday morning too, when Virat Kohli reached the famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple of Ujjain along with Team India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav and fielding coach T Dilip.
Virat reached Mahakal’s court at 4 in the morning
Virat and Kuldeep reached Mahakal temple at around 4 am on Saturday morning. Both the players took part in Bhasma Aarti and sat in Nandi Hall for about two hours and had darshan of Lord Mahakal. During the puja, the temple priests applied sandalwood tilak on his forehead. Virat was seen in a very calm and simple manner in the temple premises.
Darshan’s video went viral on social media
In the video shared by news agency ANI, Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav were seen performing puja. While coming out of the temple, Virat said “Jai Shri Mahakal” when greeted by the media. Amidst security arrangements, both the players came out of the temple, where the people present captured this moment in their cameras.
Kuldeep Yadav told his experience
After the darshan, Kuldeep Yadav shared his experience and said that the darshan of Mahakal gives him deep peace and joy. He told that he got a chance to come here again after about 9 years. According to Kuldeep, by the grace of God everything is going well and the team will perform well in future also.
Players have come to the court of Mahakal before also
This is not the first time that Team India members have reached Mahakaleshwar Temple. Earlier, Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul had also visited here. Virat Kohli himself has visited Mahakaal with his wife Anushka Sharma in 2023.
Virat’s record breaking performance in Vadodara ODI
Before Mahakal Darshan, Virat Kohli had batted brilliantly in the first ODI played in Vadodara. In this match played on January 11, Virat made many big records while playing an inning of 93 runs. He completed the fastest 28 thousand international runs and left Sachin Tendulkar behind. With this, Virat has become the second highest run scorer in international cricket, leaving behind Kumar Sangakkara.
Now everyone’s eyes are on the decisive match of the series to be played in Indore, where Virat will once again try to lead Team India to victory with his performance.
