A big news has come out for the youth preparing for government jobs in Assam. Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board i.e. SLPRB has announced a large number of recruitments in Forest Department, Assam Police and Fire and Emergency Services. A total of 2972 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. The board has issued official notification for this and online applications have been invited from eligible candidates. This is being considered a golden opportunity for the youth who have been waiting for government jobs for a long time.
According to the information released by SLPRB, this recruitment is being done for different departments and many posts. These include posts of Forest Department as well as posts related to Police and Fire Service. There will be recruitment on posts like Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard and Game Watcher in the Forest Department. Whereas in Assam Police, the posts of AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB) and other categories are included. Apart from this, appointments will also be made to posts like Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Boatman, Bandman and Bugler in fire and emergency services.
The total number of posts has been kept at 2972, from which it is clear that a large number of youth will get employment opportunities through this recruitment. 211 posts of Forester Category-I, 504 posts of Forest Guard and 733 posts of Constable Category-III are the major part of this recruitment. Apart from this, 642 posts of constable (WO/WT) and 337 posts of fireman have also been included. Some posts have also been kept for small but important posts like Bandman, Bugulwala and Kevat.
What qualification is required?
Talking about educational qualification, different qualifications have been fixed for different posts. For Forester Grade-I, the candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized university. For the post of Sub-Officer and Constable (WO/WT), it is necessary to have high school with science subject and PCM. For Forest Guard, Game Watcher and Constable (UB), 10+2 or its equivalent qualification is sought.
Whereas high school pass candidates can apply for posts like AFPF Constable, Constable Grade-III, Bandman and Bugler. For the post of Boatman, it is necessary to have high school level education along with good knowledge and practice of swimming. It is clear from this that there are opportunities in this recruitment for candidates from 10th pass to graduate.
How much salary?
Talking about salary, selected candidates will get good salary as per the rules of the state government. For these posts, salary will be given under Pay Band-1 and Pay Band-2, which can be around Rs 12 thousand to Rs 70 thousand per month. Along with this, grade pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other government facilities will also be available. Overall, after selection, candidates will get a stable and respectable government job.
