It is difficult to get treatment in a private hospital in Patna. Sometimes there is an uproar over recovery of huge amount and sometimes due to negligence in treatment. The latest case is of Shri Sai Hospital located in Kankarbagh, Patna, where a shocking incident has come to light. It is alleged that during treatment here, a nurse stole a gold ring from the hand of a female patient, Indu Devi (aged about 57-58 years).
In this case, an application was given on Friday (January 16, 2026) by the family members of the victim patient Indu Devi, resident of Kadamkuan, to lodge a complaint at Kankarbagh police station, after which the matter has come to light. Now after investigation we will know whether anything comes to light.
Stolen ring discovered after discharge
In this entire matter, the woman told that on the evening of January 12 (2026), she had chest pain and her family admitted her to Shri Sai Hospital. During this time he was conscious. On going to the emergency ward of the hospital, a nurse took off all the light gold and silver jewelery she had and gave it to the attendant. After this it was signed that the jewelery had been taken. Meanwhile, the nurse also took out a ring from her hand which she did not give to the family. Meanwhile, on the evening of January 14, the woman was discharged from the hospital. After returning home on January 16, when I took the jewelery from my family, I found out that the ring was missing.
After this the woman went to the hospital with her family. Here the hospital staff first agreed to show the CCTV footage but later refused. After this, on Friday itself, the woman went to Kankarbagh police station and complained about it to the police.
Pressure will be put on the nurse
ABP News called to know the side of the hospital. On this, someone named Arvind Kumar from the management informed that we do not have CCTV footage older than two days. Today (Saturday) the attendants of the patient had come. The only thing that was said to them was that we will talk to the nurse against whom the allegations are being made. We will put pressure on him to accept. If she does not do so, then in that situation even the hospital will not be able to do anything.
In this entire matter, on Saturday (January 17, 2026), the SHO of Kankarbagh police station told ABP News over phone that an application has been received which is being investigated. It has been given to the officer for investigation. Action will be taken based on what is found after investigation.
