What Happens If You Train One Muscle Only: For more than 300 days, a man who calls himself “The Crooked Man” has been doing things that most fitness trainers would consider wrong. He is exercising only one trapezius muscle, almost ignoring the rest of his body. The result is shocking, one shoulder and upper back muscles have become abnormally large, while the other side remains almost the same. He says that this was his intention.

tips on social media

This person is continuously sharing his experiment on social media. He calls it a reaction against the “looksmaxing” trend going on on TikTok, where people are busy trying to perfect their looks. His philosophy is the opposite, what he calls “looks minimizing”. Explaining his thinking in a video, The Crooked Man said that the idea came to him while scrolling through social media. “People ask why does someone only train one trap? It’s simple,” she said. “I was scrolling through TikTok in my Ferrari and these lookmaxing videos kept coming up. They were saying do this, do that, become more attractive, get more women. And I was like, do people have this problem? I have the opposite problem.”

Looks Minimize

His solution was to deliberately make the body unbalanced. She said, “What’s the best way to minimize the looks? To make yourself more asymmetrical. Do a single trap exercise and honestly, it’s worked wonders.” Since then he has been training the trapezius muscle of only one side every day. After about a year the difference is clearly visible. One shoulder is clearly visible high and thick, while the other is relatively weak. In the pictures before the experiment, his body looked balanced, but now despite his upper body being fit, the left side appears more prominent. This shows how quickly muscles can change with consistent targeted training.

What do you take in your diet?

She has also shared her daily diet, which has a high amount of protein. He eats sardines, goat curd, protein powder, ground beef and eggs so that the muscles he is training can grow faster.

What do experts say?

However, doctors are giving serious warnings regarding this type of training. Earlier speaking to LADbible, Dr. Suhail Hussain said that the small benefits that are being seen are nothing compared to the long-term losses. According to him, “There may be some positive effect in the short term, but there is clearly a musculoskeletal imbalance developing in this person’s body.” Dr. Hussain warned that unilateral exercise can lead to spinal imbalance, pressure on the joints, injury to the surrounding muscles and long-term pain. “The body is designed for balance and symmetry. Disturbing it like this can lead to serious orthopedic problems in the long run,” he said.
no real benefit

Although he admitted that training a muscle more can increase its strength, he said that there is no real benefit to it. “The function of the trapezius muscle is to provide support and stability, not to demonstrate strength alone. There is no functional benefit to simply increasing size.”
