On January 18, 2026, Indigo Airlines flight number 6e6650 was going from Delhi to Bagdogra, when information was received about a bomb on the plane. The flight made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport at 9:17 am.
Bomb information found on tissue paper in bathroom
It was written on tissue paper in the bathroom of the flight that there was a bomb in the flight. When a passenger saw this tissue paper, he immediately informed the crew member. After this the pilot asked for permission for emergency landing. After the emergency landing in Lucknow, every part of the plane is being checked.
There were 230 passengers on board the plane, all are safe
As soon as it reached Lucknow airport, the security personnel surrounded the plane. Bomb disposal squad and CISF team have started investigation. There were 230 passengers on board the plane, including 8 children, a total of 238 people including 6 crew members and 2 pilots. Everyone was disembarked safely after checking. Everyone’s luggage is being checked inside. After scanning all the passengers, the passengers have been taken out.
2 months ago 3 flights had emergency landing
Earlier on 7 November 2025, emergency landing of 3 planes had to be done at Lucknow Airport. All three planes belonged to Indigo Airlines. One plane was going from Delhi to Varanasi, the second was going from Mumbai to Prayagraj. All three had to be landed in emergency due to bad weather. As soon as the Varanasi plane reached Varanasi, the pilot got information that the weather was bad here. The flight was diverted to Lucknow. This plane landed in Lucknow at 6:45 am.
Bomb threat was received on 2 flights
On October 30, 2024, two Indigo Airlines flights received bomb threats. The security personnel took possession of the planes and investigated them, but nothing suspicious was found there.
