A video of a metro station in Delhi is going viral, which has forced people to think in which direction we as citizens are moving and where are we taking our country? Actually, in the video which is going viral, a person has been found urinating openly at the metro station itself. Not in any public toilet or on the roadside, but near the platform at the metro station.
Someone standing nearby made a video of it and uploaded it on the internet. After watching this video, people have strongly criticized the bad behavior and lack of cleanliness in public places. The person seen in the video was not seen to be embarrassed in any way. To him, it seemed quite normal to urinate at a metro station.
DMRC made this appeal to the people
Responding to this video, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has urged passengers to help maintain cleanliness in their premises.
The metro administration said, ‘DMRC requests all its passengers to help in keeping the premises clean. If passengers witness any such activity by any co-passenger, they should immediately bring it to the notice of DMRC officials.
Anger among the general public after seeing the video, demand for action
Many people on social media have condemned this act, calling it ‘shameful’ and ‘extremely disturbing’. Besides, questions have also been raised on the lack of basic civic responsibility in public places. One person wrote on social media that such behavior “undermines efforts to maintain public infrastructure,” while another urged authorities to impose heavy fines to prevent such incidents.
