SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger son Prateek Yadav has announced divorce from his wife Aparna Yadav. By posting on social media, he has made many serious allegations against Aparna. He called Aparna a selfish woman and accused her of breaking his family. Not only this, she even said that she just wants to be famous. After this post, many speculations have started about Aparna.

Aparna Yadav is the wife of Prateek Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife Sadhna Gupta, and his younger daughter-in-law. Aparna was born on 5 February 1990, her father’s name is Arvind Singh Bisht, who was a journalist by profession and mother Ambi Bisht is an officer in Lucknow Municipal Corporation. Arvind Singh has also been the Information Commissioner in the SP government.

Aparna Yadav Yadav did her primary education from Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow. Prateek Yadav also studied in the same school, where both of them met. According to some media reports, Prateek had proposed Aparna when she was just 12 years old. He proposed to Aparna through email. After which both of them became friends.

After school education, Aparna took a master’s degree in International Relations and Politics from Manchester University, England. Meanwhile, she remained in constant touch with Prateek Yadav. Aparna Yadav has also studied classical music and is also a trained singer.

Prateek-Aparna got married in the year 2011

After almost a decade, in the year 2011, both of them decided to get married. A very grand wedding took place in Saifai, in which many big political and film personalities attended. After which she became a part of the biggest political family of UP. Both have two daughters. Prateek Yadav has no interest in politics, he manages his business, whereas Aparna has been playing an active role in politics.

Samajwadi Party gave ticket to Aparna Yadav from Lucknow Cantt seat in the year 2017 but she had to face defeat at the hands of BJP. Before the 2022 assembly elections, she left SP and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. After joining BJP, BJP gave her a big responsibility in September 2024 and appointed her the Vice Chairman of the State Women Commission.
