Bhajan Lal government will declare riot affected area in Rajasthan as ‘disturbed area’, Cabinet approves

A big decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting of Bhajanlal Sharma government of Rajasthan on Wednesday (January 21). Actually, the government will now bring a law to stop the migration of people of a particular religion in Rajasthan. It was decided to bring Rajasthan Probation of Disturbed Area Act in the cabinet.

The government has approved the Disturbed Area Act in the cabinet meeting. Minister Jogaram Patel said that this bill will be tabled in the upcoming assembly session. After the implementation of this law, the government will be able to declare that area as a disturbed area in case of communal tension.

That’s why the law is being brought

Once declared a disturbed area, any sale of land in that area will be considered void. Patel said that this law is being brought to prevent migration of particular communities and population imbalance due to communal riots in many areas.

The punishment will be 3 to 5 years

Rajasthan is the second state in the country to make such a law. After the law is made, the government will be able to declare disturbed minority areas as Disturbed Area Act. Minister Patel said that there will be a punishment of 3 to 5 years for violating the provisions of the Disturbed Area Act. This will be a non-bailable offence, the disturbed area will be declared for 3 years, this period can also be extended.

Property will be transferred only with the permission of ADM

Jogaram Patel also said that transfer of property will not be possible in disturbed areas without the approval of the competent authority. Property can be transferred only with the permission of ADM. Sale and purchase of property without permission will be considered void. This law will not apply if property is mortgaged by banks and financial institutions.
