IPL 2026 Schedule Awaited For Election Dates: The schedule of Indian Premier League 2026 has not been announced yet. Assembly elections are to be held in many states. BCCI is waiting for the election dates to be announced in the states, after which the schedule of IPL 2026 should be announced so that there is no clash situation between the elections and the matches. Apart from this, BCCI is also waiting to decide the home venues of some teams. According to information received by IANS, BCCI has directed Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to decide their home venues by the end of this week. RCB’s home venue is M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, while Rajasthan plays at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and for some matches at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati.

Where will be the home venue of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026?

It is becoming a bit challenging to decide the home venue for RR. There is uncertainty in Jaipur Stadium due to administrative problems in Rajasthan Cricket Association. BCCI has said that if needed, Rajasthan Royals may have to use Pune’s MCA Stadium as their backup home venue.

Where will be RCB’s home venue in IPL 2026?

Discussions are going on regarding home venue for RCB also. Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium has recently been given permission to organize IPL and international cricket matches, this permission is subject to the terms and conditions set by the state government and the concerned authorities. RCB Vice President Rajesh Menon had met the CM of Chhattisgarh regarding the possibility of playing two matches at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Naya Raipur.

BCCI is waiting for the election dates

BCCI’s aim is that the schedule of IPL 2026 should be such that there is no conflict between the elections and matches to be held in any state. For this, the board is waiting for both the decisions of the teams and the announcement of election dates. Once RCB and RR finalize their home venues and the election dates are announced, BCCI will finalize the IPL 2026 schedule. This delay in preparations for IPL 2026 is due to election and administrative processes, but the board wants to ensure that all the matches go smoothly without any hindrance.
