Weather Update: Big trouble for Delhi-UP for two days, condition of Rajasthan, Bihar also bad, latest warning from Meteorological Department.

After severe cold in many parts of the country, there are now signs of change in the weather. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of western disturbance will be seen in Delhi-NCR around 23 and 24 January. Due to this, there may be rain, strong winds and fog in the capital and surrounding areas, due to which the temperature is likely to fall once again.

According to the latest estimate of the Meteorological Department, on January 24, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR can reach around 20 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can reach 7 degrees Celsius. On January 23 also, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and strong winds. During this period, there may be moderate level fog in the morning and late night, which may affect visibility.

Relief from pollution due to rain, but cold will increase

Meteorologists say that due to rain and strong winds, the dust and pollutant particles present in the air will be cleared, due to which the air quality can improve. However, after the rain, the cold may become more intense for the next two to three days, due to which people will feel more chill in the morning and night.

Cold wave continues in Punjab and Haryana

The minimum temperature in Faridkot, Punjab was recorded at 3 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest in the state. A temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Amritsar and 3.8 degrees Celsius in Bathinda. Chandigarh, the joint capital of Haryana and Punjab, recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, cold may persist in these states in the coming days.

Weather patterns will change in Rajasthan also

There are signs of changing weather due to the activation of a new western disturbance in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in Jodhpur, Bikaner division and some parts of Shekhawati region between January 22 and 24. Apart from this, there is a possibility of further increase in cold due to the effect of another western disturbance between January 26 and 28.

Chance of rain and snowfall in Kashmir Valley

The long ongoing dry season in Kashmir Valley may now end. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and widespread snowfall in the coming week. There may be light to moderate snowfall in the plains of the valley including Srinagar, due to which road and air traffic is likely to be affected.

Meteorological Department appeals to the people

The Indian Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious in view of the cold. The department says that avoid going out unnecessarily, wear warm clothes and take special care of children and the elderly, because the effect of cold may increase further in the next few days.
