After Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement regarding global order at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, tension in the relations between America and Canada is clearly visible. US President Donald Trump has reacted strongly to Carney’s remarks, saying that Canada is safe only because of America and it should be thankful for it.
In a speech that lasted about 70 minutes at the World Economic Forum, President Donald Trump targeted the Greenland issue as well as Western allies. During this, he specifically mentioned Canada and said that America provides many facilities and security to Canada, but despite this, there seems to be a lack of gratitude in the leadership there. Trump said in his statement that he had recently seen the Prime Minister of Canada, but there was no sense of gratitude towards America in his attitude. He claimed that Canada is safe and exists only because of America.
🚨Holy Crap! President Trump is now calling out Canada PM Mark Carney to his FACE for not being grateful to America 🔥

Mention of Golden Dome Air Defense System
During the speech, Trump also mentioned America’s proposed ‘Golden Dome’ air defense system. He said that this system will play an important role in the security of not only America but also Canada. Trump also said in a stern tone that Canada should remember this before making any statements in the future.
Controversy started from Carney’s statement
A day before this, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had given a big statement regarding the global system from the Davos forum. Although he did not directly name America or President Trump, he described the US-led rules-based global order as ineffective. Carney said that the international system is no longer working as it was previously believed. According to him, the world has reached an era where big powers are using economic integration as a weapon of pressure and coercion.
Appeal to small countries to unite
In his address, Mark Carney appealed to small and medium countries to increase mutual cooperation. He warned that if a country is not included in the global decision table, then it itself can become a victim of the decisions. His statement was seen as a direct challenge to America’s global dominance.
