US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (January 21, 2026) that he feels he is very close to an agreement to stop the Russia-Ukraine war, although earlier he thought he would do it within a few hours. Trump also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be fools if they did not end it now, and he knows they are not.
During the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) here, Trump said that he is good at solving war cases, although this work should be done by the United Nations. In response to a question on the Russia-Ukraine war, Trump said, ‘I’m sad to say it, but I solved more than four cases.’ He said, ‘This has to be done.’ This will save many lives, lakhs of lives will be saved.
