An important update has come out for lakhs of women associated with the Maharashtra Government’s Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. In fact, the monthly assistance of Rs 1500 under the scheme may stop for some women, if they do not correct the necessary mistakes in time. However, it is a matter of relief that the state government has now decided to give such women another chance. In such a situation, let us now tell you which women of Maharashtra will not get the money of Ladki Bahin Yojana and which mistake should be rectified today itself.
Mistake in e-KYC became the cause of trouble
E-KYC was made mandatory for women getting benefits under Ladki Bahin Yojana. The government had set a deadline of 31 December 2025 for this. But during this process, many women made mistakes while filling the form. Due to lack of technical knowledge and not being able to understand the question properly, he selected the wrong option, which made his record doubtful and became a condition for stopping the payment of the scheme.
One question stopped the installment of Rs 1500
In the e-KYC form, a question was asked in Marathi language that there is no government job in your family? That means no one in your family is in a government job, right? A large number of women mistakenly clicked yes on this question. After which the system recorded it as if there was a government employee in his family. According to the rules, government employees or their family members are not eligible for this scheme, hence in such cases the payment of the scheme was automatically stopped. The investigation by the Women and Child Development Department revealed that about 24 lakh women chose this wrong option. Whereas the number of government and semi-government employees in the entire state is less than this. When suddenly the installments of such a large number of women stopped, complaints started coming in and the matter came before the government.
Government gave opportunity to improve
After complaints from women, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare made it clear that eligible women will not be excluded from the scheme. The government has decided that physical verification of women whose e-KYC is stuck due to wrong information will be done, so that the records can be corrected. Anganwadi workers across the state have been given the responsibility for this work. She will go to the area level and verify the women concerned and correct the wrong entries.
