This is a great opportunity for the candidates who want to become Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in a government university. Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) of Kanpur has issued recruitment notification for 54 posts. Candidates can now apply online by visiting the official website of the university csjmu.ac.in. Keep in mind, after filling the online form, the hard copy of the form will also have to be sent to the university.
A total of 54 posts will be filled in this recruitment, which include Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The application process has started from 14 January 2026 and the last date is 23 February 2026. Along with this, it is mandatory to send the hard copy of the application form by 28 February 2026. The age limit for recruitment is determined as per UGC rules. There will be two phases in the selection process, first phase is academic score, API score and written examination, second phase is teaching skill assessment and interview.
What should be the qualification?
To become an Assistant Professor, a candidate must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject, and must have a minimum of 55 percent marks. Along with this, it is necessary to have NET/SLET/SET or PhD. For Associate Professor, it is necessary to have at least 8 years of teaching or research experience along with PhD degree. Apart from this, the candidate should have a Masters degree with minimum 7 publications and 55 percent marks. To become a professor, a PhD degree with 10 years of experience is required.
application fee
In this recruitment, general category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,500. Whereas for SC/ST candidates this fee has been kept at Rs 2,000. The form will not be accepted without depositing the application fee.
selection process
Selection of students will be done in two phases. The first stage includes academic score, API score and written examination. After the written examination, teaching skill assessment and interview will be conducted in the second phase. Only the candidates who are successful in both the stages will be considered selected.

To apply, candidates first go to csjmu.ac.in website. Go to the Recruitment section there and click on the relevant recruitment link. While filling the form, along with your basic information, fill all the information correctly like qualification, experience, achievement and publications. Also scan and upload the required documents. It is also necessary to upload your colored photograph and signature in the correct size in the application. After filling the form, deposit the application fee and take the final print out for future reference.
