An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, in which one terrorist was killed. After receiving information about the hiding of terrorists, security forces had started a search operation in Bilwar in Kathua district. The killed terrorist has been identified as Usman from Pakistan. Usman was associated with the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Recently, security forces had faced terrorists near Kahog forest area in Najote forest area of Bilwar. Then there was information about at least 3 terrorists hiding in the area.
Pakistani army drone seen near LOC on Tuesday
Earlier, a Pakistani drone was seen hovering near the India-Pakistan border in Kathua district late on Tuesday night. The army took action on this and activated the anti-drone system. This drone was seen during army surveillance. This was the fifth incident within 10 days. On the evening of 17 January, the drone was seen in Ramgarh sector.
Here, security agencies are on alert in view of Republic Day. They suspect that these drones are being used to know the position of the army, or to drop weapons and narcotics for terrorists.
