In Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh, a major accident occurred on Sunday (January 25) when a mine caved in while extracting loose soil. In this accident, three women including two minors were crushed to death while two other people were seriously injured. A police officer gave this information. According to the police, this incident took place in Parsohar village of Jiyawan police station area.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) Gayatri Tiwari said that five women, including two minor girls, had gone to extract soil from the Chhui Mitti mine located in Parsohar village, where while extracting the soil, the mine suddenly caved in and they were buried inside.
The injured were admitted to the hospital.
Police officer said that in the accident, Harrahwa village resident Preeti Singh (10), Basanti (16) and Bandha resident Phoolmati Yadav (50) died on the spot while Kaushalya Singh (50) and Sakmuni Singh (45) were seriously injured. The officer said that both the injured were admitted to Devsar Community Hall for treatment. People in rural areas paint their houses with clay. This soil is white in colour.
