Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had criticized ICC’s decision to exclude Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, there have also been reports of Pakistan boycotting the T20 World Cup 2026 tournament or the match against India on February 15.
Bangladesh had demanded to shift the T20 World Cup matches out of India (Sri Lanka). ICC assured the safety of Bangladesh players, but BCB remained firm on its stand. The ICC ultimately pulled Bangladesh out of the World Cup and replaced it with Scotland. Naqvi had supported Bangladesh and said that this decision was not fair.
