T20 World Cup 2026 has been surrounded by controversies for several weeks. Bangladesh is out of the World Cup, which has been replaced by Scotland. Recently, Pakistan has also shown arrogance and it is not yet decided whether the Pakistani team will participate in the T20 World Cup or not. In fact, on Monday, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. After the meeting, it was decided that the decision on the World Cup would be taken this Friday or Monday next week.

Bangladesh will make a comeback, how?

There are very little chances that Pakistan will boycott the T20 World Cup 2026. Still, if for some reason Pakistan is out of the T20 World Cup, then Bangladesh can come back. In fact, according to Hindustan Times, an official related to this matter has said that if Pakistan boycotts the World Cup, then ICC can consider the withdrawal of Bangladesh.

In fact, this will also solve the problem of Bangladesh not playing in India and its team will also be able to play the World Cup. Pakistan is in Group A and as per the old agreement, its matches will be played in Sri Lanka under the hybrid model. Therefore, if Pakistan team withdraws from the World Cup, then Bangladesh will be able to play World Cup matches without any problem.

ICC did not bow down to Bangladesh!

According to the source, if Pakistan withdraws from the World Cup and is replaced by Bangladesh, then ICC will not be accused of taking this decision after bowing to the security demands of Bangladesh. The re-entry of Bangladesh will be considered as the result of Pakistan’s withdrawal. Let us tell you that the World Cup is starting from 7th February, but there is still suspense over Pakistan’s play.
