Before the T20 World Cup 2026, the Indian cricket team will play its only warm-up match against South Africa. Team India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will finalize its preparations before the tournament in this match. This match will be played on 4th February at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. This match is also special because it will remind of the final of the T20 World Cup 2024, in which India won the title by defeating South Africa.

T20 World Cup will start from 7th February
T20 World Cup 2026 will start from 7th February, where the first match will be played between Pakistan and Netherlands. Pakistan is in India’s group and that too will play only one warm-up match, which will be against Ireland on February 4 in Colombo.
England-Australia will not play warm-up
Interestingly, big teams like England and Australia will not play any warm-up matches. However, just before the tournament, England will play bilateral series against Sri Lanka and Australia against Pakistan, which will give them match practice.
Scotland replaced Bangladesh
Scotland, playing in place of Bangladesh in the tournament, will play two warm-up matches,
