What is ABHA ID and its benefits?
The full name of ABHA ID is Ayushman Bharat Health Account. If you understand it in simple language, it is the digital wallet of your health. In this, all your medical information like previous treatment information, your diseases and allergies, blood group, medicines you are taking, tests done in the hospital and reports, everything is stored securely in digital manner. With this, you will no longer have to carry files while going to different hospitals or doctors.
The doctor can see all your records with your permission and start the right treatment accordingly. There will be no need for frequent tests and the possibility of wrong medicine or treatment will be less. Your medical data will be completely under your control. No one can see it without your permission.
Can you get free treatment with ABHA ID?
ABHA ID does not guarantee free treatment. For free treatment, you need a separate Ayushman card. Ayushman card is only for those who meet the eligibility conditions of the government. But ABHA ID is open to every Indian citizen, and it is easy to create. This card only serves to digitally secure your medical information.
How is Health ID Aabha made in India?
1. Creating ABHA ID is very easy. You can make it in just a few minutes. For this, first go to healthid.ndhm.gov.in website.
2. Select the option of Generate through Aadhaar.
3. Enter your Aadhaar number.
4. An OTP will come on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
5. Create a unique ABHA address for yourself by entering the OTP.
6. This will become your digital health ID. After this you can download your ABHA card.
Will ABHA ID be useful abroad?
ABHA ID is currently designed for India’s digital health system. Cannot be used directly for treatment abroad. But if you want to show your medical records to a hospital outside India, you can share it with the doctor or hospital in PDF or digital form. In a way, it can become a medium for international medical record sharing, but it cannot be used directly in foreign systems.
