Rajasthan Royals Sale: Rajasthan Royals team may find a new buyer very soon and may become the most expensive team to be sold in IPL history. In fact, according to a media report, a bid of about 1.3 billion US dollars has been made to buy the RR franchise. The bidder is not an outsider but Kal Somani, who has a stake in the Rajasthan Royals team.

According to a Bloomberg report yesterday, Somani has formed a consortium. This association has offered 1.3 billion US dollars for Rajasthan Royals, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 11,956 crore in Indian currency. Let us tell you that this bid depends on the price of sale of media rights of IPL. The Board of Control for Cricket in India had sold the media rights of the Indian Premier League for 2023-2027 to Jio Hotstar for Rs 44,075 crore.

According to reports, Times Internet Chairman Satyan Gajwani, Blackstone and Carlyle Group have also shown interest in buying the Rajasthan Royals team. Let us tell you that apart from Rajasthan Royals, RCB is also available for sale and its new owner can be announced very soon. Diageo is expected to sell Royal Challengers Bangalore for $2 billion.

Currently, the largest stake in the Rajasthan Royals team is with Manoj Badale, who holds 65 percent shares of the RR franchise. Manoj Badale is the owner of Royals Sports Group. Lachlan Murdoch holds 13 percent and Red Bird Capital holds 15 percent.

Rajasthan Royals became the champion in the first season of IPL i.e. 2008. After that, RR team reached the finals only in the 2022 season, when it was defeated by Gujarat Titans by 7 wickets in the title clash.
