This film has become the audience’s favorite and a lot of spectators are coming to watch it. ‘Border 2’ made huge earnings in the extended weekend of Republic Day. ‘Border 2’ has become the first biggest film of the year 2026. After a great start, the film performed well at the box office on the opening weekend thanks to tremendous positive word of mouth. Now even on non-holidays, this film is getting tremendous response from the audience. Although there was a decline of more than 60 percent in its collection on the first Monday of its release, its earnings have been impressive. Now on the sixth day on Tuesday, there was a huge slowdown in its earnings but it has done wonders and has crossed the figure of Rs 200 crores.
- Talking about the collection of the film, ‘Border 2’ has collected Rs 30 crore on the first day of its release, Rs 36.5 crore on the second day, Rs 54.5 crore on the third day, Rs 59 crore on the fourth day and Rs 20 crore on the fifth day.
- According to the early trend report of Saknilk, ‘Border 2’ has collected Rs 13 crore on the 6th day of its release i.e. Wednesday.
- With this, ‘Border 2’ has made Rs 213 crore in 6 days of its release.
‘‘Border 2’ beats Shahrukh Khan’s two films on the sixth day
The earnings of ‘Border 2’ saw the biggest decline on the sixth day of its release and it made the highest collection till date. However, by earning Rs 13 crores, this film has defeated Shahrukh Khan’s two films Chennai Express (12.56 crores) and Danky (11.56 crores). Apart from these, ‘Border 2’ has also defeated Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thaama (12.5 crores) and Salman Khan’s Prem Ratna Dhan Payo (12.04 crores).
Border 2 cast, release date and background
Border 2 has arrived in theaters almost three decades after the original film Border, released in 1997. This sequel was released in theaters on January 23, 2026. This war drama has been directed by Anurag Singh and produced by JP Dutta along with his daughter Nidhi Dutta. The lead cast includes Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty. Sonam Bajwa, Medha Singh, Mona Singh, Paramveer Singh Cheema and others have played important roles in the film.
